Have you ever noticed how quickly you can become a different version of yourself when you feel hurt, rejected, criticised or disconnected in a relationship? Maybe a part of you needs to talk about it immediately. Maybe you need reassurance or find yourself pursuing connection. Perhaps you become angry or critical. Or maybe you shut down, pull away, become defensive or need space. Often these reactions make sense when we understand what is happening underneath them. The Parts Between Us is a 60-minute live online masterclass exploring the protective parts that show up in our closest relationships and what happens when our parts meet the protective parts of someone we love. Drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, nervous system understanding and relationship therapy, we will look beyond the surface of conflict and get curious about what our reactions may be trying to protect. In this masterclass, we'll explore: Why certain interactions can trigger such strong emotional responses The protective parts that pursue, withdraw, criticise, defend, shut down or seek reassurance What may be happening underneath these reactions How your protective responses can activate your partner's, creating patterns that repeat How to begin noticing when a part has taken over Ways to pause, turn inward and understand what is happening before automatically reacting How greater awareness of our parts can create more space for choice, compassion and connection You don't need any previous knowledge of IFS to attend. You can join individually or with your partner. You'll also receive a reflection workbook to use during the masterclass and continue exploring afterwards.
